The avionics system, which Bombardier markets as Pro Line 21 Advanced, enhances mission performance, increases access to airports, and enables future airspace operations through a number of key capabilities, according to a company spokesperson.
Key capabilities include:
- Enhanced speed and memory for growth-capable Flight Management Computer
- Synthetic Vision System (SVS)

Pro Line 21 Advanced sports the newest version of Rockwell Collins’ Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS) with split chart capability, which features North American XM satellite weather—including the continental U.S. and portions of Canada and the Caribbean, uplinked global weather and enhanced usability of electronic charts, maps, and documents. The system also automatically displays the airport chart once the aircraft lands.
“The next-generation features we’re bringing to Pro Line 21 are positioning these aircraft for the long term,” says Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. “The enhancements also deliver a greater level of safety and efficiency for flight crews, ultimately benefitting the passengers with smoother flights that arrive to their destinations on time.”
The Bombardier Vision flight deck is designed to deliver a completely new cockpit experience. By combining the best in technological advancements of Pro Line 21 Advanced avionics with superior aesthetics and ergonomics, pilots will experience flying a Challenger 650 at an unprecedented level of control and comfort.
