Gulfstream Aerospace chooses Elbit Systems Kollsman Enhanced Vision System for new G500 and G600 aircraft

NBAA—ORLANDO, Fla., 23 Oct. 2014. Gulfstream Aerospace officials selected Elbit Systems of America LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems, to deliver its Kollsman Enhanced Vision System - Superior Performance (EVS-SP) for the new Gulfstream G500 and G600 business aircraft.

NBAA—ORLANDO, Fla., 23 Oct. 2014. Gulfstream Aerospace officials selected Elbit Systems of America LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems, to deliver its Kollsman Enhanced Vision System - Superior Performance (EVS-SP) for the new Gulfstream G500 and G600 business aircraft.

Enhanced Vision System - Superior Performance uses cutting-edge, digital, high-resolution infrared sensor technology to enable taxi, takeoff, and landing operations in various weather situations in accordance with all applicable FAA/EASA/ICAO EVS operational and certification regulations.

Elbit's Kollsman EVS-SP includes new features and improvements such as high resolution and digital video for a crisp, clear image, a single LRU design for easy installation, and lighter total system weight to improve aircraft efficiency.

EVS is a key component to FAA Next Gen and EASA SESAR airspace optimization. The system is applicable for fixed and rotary wing aircraft and is expected to be fully certified in mid-2015.
