The dream of sending humans to deep space is now a reality with NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS). The advanced heavy-lift launch vehicle is the most world’s most powerful rocket that provides an entirely new capability for exploration.

Scheduled for its first test flight in 2017, SLS provides an unmatched combination of mass, volume, speed, and crew safety when compared with all current and proposed alternatives. The evolvable vehicle architecture can support multiple mission destinations including the exploration of asteroids, the moon, and ultimately Mars.

As a member of the SLS team since inception, Aerojet Rocketdyne provides the liquid engines that will power the vehicle during ascent and into deep space.
