Paris Air Show promises 'significant' commercial aviation orders

The aerospace industry is buzzing with rumors that major airframe manufacturers have for some time been holding back announcements about recent contract wins and orders for commercial aircraft, business jets, and military combat jets.

The aerospace industry is buzzing with rumors that major airframe manufacturers have for some time been holding back announcements about recent contract wins and orders for commercial aircraft, business jets, and military combat jets. Time will certainly tell.

Airbus is expecting a busy few days next month at the Paris Air Show, highlighted as such major aerospace shows always are by a "significant number" of orders. And that means rival Boeing (NYSE: BA) is no doubt expecting the same type of activity, and orders for both companies will help drive commercial aviation work in Wichita.
