PARIS, June 2015. ORBIT Communication Systems Ltd., a provider of business and mission-critical communication solutions, is showing its full suite of aerospace communication solutions at Paris Air Show 2015, including its Orion Audio and Video, AirTRx, and Gaia product lines. During the show, ORBIT is holding live demonstrations of its new Orion Audio Management System, and presenting the latest addition of its airborne very small aperture terminal (VSAT) portfolio, the AirTRx 25LP.

Orion is an IP-based communication management system for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft with inherent redundancy and 3D audio capabilities. At the heart of Orion is a patent-pending Dual IP ring topology that provides inherent redundancy with no single point of failure. Integration with avionic systems is simple with Orion’s IP/AFDX interfacing capabilities.

Orion’s 3D audio provides pilots and crew with 360-degree audio, boosting situational awareness. Since its launch, Orion has been adopted by leading aircraft manufacturers, including Boeing, becoming the system of choice for their communication management needs.

AirTRx is an advanced stabilized VSAT antenna system providing broadband communication via satellite to various airborne platforms. The AirTRx is designed to accommodate current and future needs of the airborne market, supporting Ku, Ka, and X bands. It features outstanding radio-frequency (RF) performance and dynamic response under virtually any operating environment.

Gaia is a high-performance, high-accuracy ground station solution for tracking low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO) satellites for earth observation and remote sensing applications. Supporting a wide range of antenna sizes, the Gaia ground station solutions meet the needs of large and small scale earth observation applications in markets such as: oil and gas exploration, weather monitoring and research, land mapping, surveillance and homeland security, Value Added Service (VAS) providers, and more.

"We are thrilled to present our aerospace communication solutions at the 2015 Paris Air Show. Europe has always been a significant market for ORBIT, and we have established strong relationships with defense, government and commercial organizations in various countries in Europe, as well as other regions,” says Sharon Goldenberg, ORBIT’s SVP sales & marketing. “Based on our advanced aerospace offerings, we expect to expand our footprint in this advanced market.
