Parker to provide wheels and brakes on multiple general aviation aircraft programs

PARIS, 15 June 2015. Parker Aerospace’s Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division — also known in the industry as Cleveland Wheels & Brakes — has been selected to provide FAA TSO-approved, caliper-style wheels, brakes, and brake system hydraulics on several aircraft programs, including: Diamond Aircraft’s DA62, Discovery Aviation’s Model 201 and XL-2, and Piper Aircraft’s Meridian M600.

PARIS, 15 June 2015. Parker Aerospace’s Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division — also known in the industry as Cleveland Wheels & Brakes — has been selected to provide FAA TSO-approved, caliper-style wheels, brakes, and brake system hydraulics on several aircraft programs, including: Diamond Aircraft’s DA62, Discovery Aviation’s Model 201 and XL-2, and Piper Aircraft’s Meridian M600.

Parker provides general aviation brake systems, as well as offers the product support and parts availability that are critical for these aircraft.

The wheels, brakes, and brake system hydraulics for all the aircraft programs will be manufactured and tested at the Parker Aerospace Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division facility in Avon, Ohio.

The Diamond Aircraft DA62 is a new twin-engine, five-seat aircraft. Diamond Aircraft has had a long working relationship with Parker on several of its aircraft, including the DA20, HK36 Super Dimona, DA40 NG, DA42-VI, and DA42 NG.

The Discovery Model 201 is a twin-engine utility aircraft that is able to carry more than 1,900 pounds of cargo. The XL-2 is a single-engine training aircraft that is highly fuel efficient and easy to maintain.

The Meridian M600 is Piper’s latest top-of-the-line, M-Class, single-engine aircraft. Parker has been working with Piper Aircraft engineering for over two years to develop a new high-performance brake system for the aircraft.

Parker has supported many Piper aircraft models, including the Archer, Arrow, Seminole, Seneca, Matrix, Mirage, and Meridian.
