Rohde & Schwarz debuts security scanner for increased air traffic safety

PARIS, 16 June 2015. Rohde & Schwarz is at Paris Air Show debuting a new product designed to contribute to air traffic safety: the R&S QPS100 security scanner. Developed for use in security zones at airports and other facilities with access control, the device detects potentially dangerous items carried on the body or in clothing.  

PARIS, 16 June 2015. Rohde & Schwarz is at Paris Air Show debuting a new product designed to contribute to air traffic safety: the R&S QPS100 security scanner. Developed for use in security zones at airports and other facilities with access control, the device detects potentially dangerous items carried on the body or in clothing.

The millimeter-wave technology used in the scanner is based on expertise Rohde & Schwarz has acquired as a player in the area of high-frequency technology.

Products on display in Paris also include the R&S DDF04E and R&S DDF007 digital direction finders, the R&S EDS300 DME/pulse analyzer for measuring pulsed terrestrial signals, and the portable R&S EVS300 ILS/VOR analyzer for checking landing systems.

Rohde & Schwarz is presenting its wide range of ATC communications and air traffic management (ATM) solutions at the Paris Air Show (Le Bourget) 2015 in hall 2A, booth B286.
