Lockheed Martin is in "advanced stages" of talks to buy Stratford-based Sikorsky Aircraft, The Wall Street Journal is reporting. On Thursday, Reuters reported that Sikorsky's owner, Hartford-based United Technologies Corp., was weighing offers from Lockheed Martin and Textron, which makes Bell helicopters, to buy Sikorsky, with a decision likely by the end of the month.
