U.S. Air Force selects Boeing to provide F-15 EPAWSS electronic warfare suite
ST. LOUIS, 1 Oct. 2015. U.S. Air Force officials needed new, advanced electronic warfare capabilities to better counter threats and protect air crews in the F-15 tactical fighter aircraft designed to gain and maintain air supremacy in aerial combat. They found their solution, issuing a $4 billion contract to Boeing [NYSE:BA], which will serve as the prime contractor for the U.S. Air Force’s Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) program.
