GigOptix wins $6.1 million ASIC order for avionics application

SAN JOSE, Calif., 9 Oct. 2015. GigOptix Inc. (NYSE:GIG), a supplier of high-speed semiconductor components, won a $6.1 million order from an as-yet-unnamed aerospace and defense technology supplier to deliver advanced ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) products with applications in avionics for the next two years.

(NYSE:GIG), a supplier of high-speed semiconductor components, won a $6.1 million order from an as-yet-unnamed aerospace and defense technology supplier to deliver advanced ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) products with applications in avionics for the next two years.

News of this order comes on the heels of a $7.9 million order in May 2015 from another major aerospace and defense (A&D) supplier.
