LONDON, 16 Oct. 2015. Officials at Air Atlanta Aviaservices Ltd., a provider of component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services near Gatwick Airport in Crawley, England, sought software to help grow its operations. They found their solution at Component Control in San Diego, Calif., implementing the company’s Quantum Control MRO and logistics software.

Air Atlanta Aviaservices has expanded its user base from 20 to 38, and added a second database for its parts sales facility in Dubai World Central (DWC) at Al Maktoum International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company now services more than 6,000 units within its workshops. The software has helped increase efficiencies, streamline internal processes, and reduce costs for the company, leading to continual growth since going live with Quantum in 2011.

“We’re now able to keep track of sales and repair orders at both of our facilities in the U.K. and DWC. Preparing shipping documents has become much quicker and easier. Before, we used Excel spreadsheets, typing in part numbers, serial numbers, descriptions, quantities, ship to addresses, etc. Now, we just confirm weight and dimensions, and print. It’s much more efficient,” says Rosa Gudmannsdottir, manager, marketing and MRO services.

Quantum also helps Air Atlanta Aviaservices accurately track costs, and provides easy access to customer and account details, according to Gudmannsdottir. “The shop control modules help track cost for labor and material on components we have in shop for repair and overhaul. This also helps customer services to know where a specific component is in the repair process in our shops, we can easily see that in the system. All our customer information is in one place, including documents, contact details, shipping addresses, and accounts. All publications such as the component maintenance manuals are stored on the system so it’s easy to access any information needed about the components we repair. Purchasing has become easier, too, as we are able to monitor stock levels and usage, allowing us to make educated buying decisions.”

Quantum Control is an integrated business software solution. Developed specifically for aviation MRO and Logistics organizations, it promotes best practices and improves business processes with a single database integrated solution that can be flexibly deployed as a dedicated in-house system, or be hosted via a third-party cloud.

Quantum Control's personalized configuration settings provide individual users with an intuitive interface which improves the bottom line through optimized productivity. Quantum Control extends across the supply chain using its built-in web services fully integrated with www.StockMarket.aero.

The Quantum Control MRO and Logistics solution installed at Air Atlanta Aviaservices operates on a highly scalable and secure Oracle database and includes a range of logistics and business modules.
