(NYSE:TXT) company, opening of a new office in the Torre Mayor Complex in Mexico City to support local and regional customers. “We look forward to bringing a new level of local service to meet the growing demand in Mexico,” says Bell Helicopter’s Executive Vice President of Commercial Business Matt Hasik.
“Bell Helicopter has been and remains a major player in both the aviation and industrial sectors within Mexico,” Hasik explains. “The opening of this office supports our existing customer base and is a key part of our ongoing expansion efforts throughout the country.
“Our increased presence in Mexico is yet another example of how we continue to put in motion our strategy of being closer to our customers, no matter where they are in the world, and providing the superior customer service we are known for,” Hasik adds.
Bell Helicopter’s history in Mexico started more than 50 years ago with the delivery of the first aircraft to the region, officials say. Bell Helicopter’s footprint spans two customer service facilities, in addition to the manufacturing facility based in Chihuahua and the new addition of the sales office in Mexico City. Textron, Bell Helicopter’s parent company, also maintains six additional service and manufacturing facilities throughout the country.
Bell Helicopter, Textron Aviation, and Kautex – all part of Textron – have an annual production value of more than $300 million and invest nearly $9.54 million annually in their businesses in Mexico. Textron employs more than 2,700 and creates an additional 5,700 jobs through its Mexico-based supply chain.
