YORK, Pa., 11 Nov. 2015. United States Coast Guard officials needed to modernize Lockheed C-130 military aircraft with flat-panel display systems compatible with night-vision goggles. They found their solution at Daisy Data Displays in York Haven, Pennsylvania, purchasing Daisy monitors with unique, new-to-market night-vision imaging system (NVIS) technology.

The C-130H’s two-pilot flight station is complete with digital avionics, head-up displays, and a state-of-the-art navigation system. This fully-digital interface must be readable in all degrees of light. Daisy displays with NVIS technology is designed to provide full-color readability in daylight and with night-vision goggles without the need for add-on filters.

“As the chief support aircraft for the US Coast guard, the C-130H is active in various applications that require displays to support day to night transitions. In operations, such as long-range search and rescues, homeland security patrols, and logistics, it is vital that users are provided with a normalized interface in both daylight and with night-vision goggles,” explains David “Avi” Shefet, president, Daisy Data Displays. “We recognized that users of these displays would experience ease of use and consistency if we could create displays that can transition from day to night vision made without the need for add-on filters.”

Daisy’s Military and Flight Simulation displays are rugged and equipped with features, such as NEMA 1 enclosures, resistive glass-on-glass touch screens or projected capacitive, and are designed to meet Shock and Vibe 901D, Grade A, EMI MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.

Daisy’s engineers create complex, and reliable solutions for military and flight simulation applications.

Daisy Data Displays is a hazardous location and ruggedized industrial computer manufacturer that provides custom solutions for the harshest of situations and environments. Daisy’s products are ideal for Oil & Gas Exploration, Military Operations, Flight Simulation, and Pharmaceutical & Food Processing environments. Founded in 1982, Daisy manufactures Industrial and Hazardous Location PCs, Industrial and Hazardous Location Monitors, Military PCs, Military Monitors, Keyboards, Purge Controls, and Accessories (including touchscreens, KVM extenders, cooling devices, bar code scanners, and conduit seal kits and air connection kits).
