BOHEMIA, N.Y., 2 March 2016.Data Device Corp. (DDC) is introducing the new DD-40002X high-density, 32-channel ARINC PMC and XMC embedded computing boards with programmable and fixed input/output (I/O) configurations. The new PMC/XMC boards are designed for rugged environments, and can be used in conduction- or air-cooled applications, to meet commercial and military aerospace requirements.
The DD-40002X is “designed to support maximum data throughput on all channels, while providing DMA for low CPU utilization, error detection, and label filtering per channel,” company officials say. Offering high mean time between failures (MTBF) reliability and performance, the board operates over the full -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius range, at the thermal rail, without any limitations on ARINC 429 transmitter duty cycles.
Benefits:
- Programmable and fixed Tx/Rx ARINC 429 configurations
- Provides complete flexibility to match your specific I/O channel requirements
- Facilitates hardware in-the-loop testing and integration
Features:
- Programmable interrupts
- Extensive Built-in-Test capability
- Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory prevents internal data corruption
- Efficiency
- DMA engine for ultra low CPU & PCI/PCIe utilization
- Continuous Built-in Test (CBIT) reduces reliance on external test equipment
- Reliability
- High MTBF
- Designed for rugged environments – conduction-and air-cooled versions available
- -40°C to +85°C operation
“The combination of high ARINC 429 channel count, programmable and fixed channel configurations, and reliable performance, makes DDC’s new ARINC 429 PMC/XMC avionic boards the optimal solution for a full range of demanding applications,” says DDC’s Data Bus Solutions Director Greg Tiedemann.
Data Device Corp. (DDC) designs and manufactures high-reliability connectivity, power, and control solutions (data networking; power distribution, control, and conversion; motor control and motion feedback) for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. With awards for quality, delivery, and support, DDC has served industry for more than 50 years… providing solutions optimized for efficiency, reliability, and performance, officials describe. DDC brands include DDC, Beta Transformer Technology Corp., National Hybrid Inc., Pascall Electronics Ltd., and XCEL Power Systems Ltd. DDC is headquartered in Bohemia, N.Y., and has manufacturing operations in New York, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
