NAB, LAS VEGAS,19 April 2016. Engineers at Alpha Satcom Inc. (ASI), a provider of satellite earth station antenna solutions in Longview, Texas, have selected systems from Walton De-Ice, designer and manufacturer of satellite earth station antenna (ESA) weather protection solutions in San Bernardino, California, for an installation at a major satellite broadcast facility.
ASI is designing, fabricating, and supplying a unique 9.0-meter Ku-Band low-passive intermodulation (PIM) antenna with challenging RF and structural design requirements for its customer; ASI engineers selected Walton De-Ice as part of the total solution.
Passive intermodulation (PIM) on antennas can disrupt networks by creating signal interference. Low–PIM antennas minimize this effect.
