NEWBURYPORT, Mass., 7 June 2016. Vaunix Technology Corp., a manufacturer of USB controlled and powered test equipment in Newburyport, Massachusetts, has expanded its LMS line of PC-driven signal generators with the LMS-802DX signal generator.
The LMS-802DX has a power control range of 80 decibels (dB), +10dBm to -70 dBm, exceeding the range of its predecessors by 25dBm. The unit operates in the 2 to 8 GHz frequency range with a resolution of 100 hertz (Hz) and a fast 100 microsecond switching time. When set to +10 decibel milliwatts (dBm) this compact, one-pound signal generator exhibits typical harmonic performance of -40 dBc (decibels relative to carrier).
The LMS-802DX offers the advanced features in the LMS family of Vaunix signal generators including phase continuous linear-frequency sweeping, internal/external 10 MHz reference, and optional pulse modulation.
The Lab Brick signal generators are operated and powered through USB and controlled with the included graphical user interface (GUI) or through one of many application program interfaces (APIs), this unit retails at $3,249.
Easily programmed for automatic test equipment (ATE) applications, the LMS signal generators are a cost effective solution whether you are in engineering, the production test lab, or in the field.
Units are Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)-compliant and can be used with any PC or laptop computer with USB 2.0 port (or powered USB hub) and Windows operating system. Lab Brick Signal Generators are provided with easy to use Lab Brick GUI software, 32- and 64 bit API DLL files, LabVIEW, and Linux compatible drivers.
Based in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Vaunix Technology Corp. designs, manufactures, and services radio-frequency (RF) and microwave test equipment and communications products. The Lab Brick product family includes USB powered, programmable signal generators, attenuators, phase shifters, and switches.
