Royal Moroccan Air Force F-16 military jets thwart threats with Harris electronic warfare systems

MELBOURNE, Fla. Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) officials in Rabat, Morocco, sought electronic warfare (EW) systems to help protect F-16military fighter aircraft against current and evolving electronic threats. They found their solution at Harris Corp. (NYSE:HRS) in Melbourne, Florida.

Harris won a $91 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, which performs sustainment and depot maintenance on U.S. Air Force weapon systems, at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia to provide AN/ALQ-211 Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Suite (AIDEWS) systems, spares, and support equipment and services.

Five other international allies have chosen Harris Corp.’s combat-ready ALQ-211(V)4 low-risk, modular EW system for its capabilities and mission-based adaptability, officials say.
