CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has delivered enhanced Digital Global Positioning System (GPS) Anti-Jam Receiver (DIGAR) airborne anti-jam and anti-spoofing technology, with significantly improved jamming resistance over the previous model, to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has delivered enhanced Digital Global Positioning System (GPS) Anti-Jam Receiver (DIGAR) airborne anti-jam and anti-spoofing technology, with significantly improved jamming resistance over the previous model, to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

The Program Executive Office – Fixed Wing (PEO-FW) at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is working on integration and testing of the new equipment, which represents the highest level of GPS assurance for airborne markets, officials say. Several installations are planned for both forward fit and retrofit applications.

Rockwell Collins’ Digital GPS Anti-Jam Receiver (DIGAR) is designed to provide unmatched protection levels for reliable navigation for military operations.

DIGAR is built on an open systems architecture that enables growth capabilities across a variety of aircraft platforms that includes rotary wing, fixed-wing fighter, bomber, transport aircraft, and small to large unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

“From advanced fifth-generation aircraft to ground and maritime applications, this receiver is the most reliable military-grade GPS solution available due to its unmatched anti-jam protection levels,” says Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of communication, navigation & electronic warfare systems for Rockwell Collins. “This delivery demonstrates a major advancement in military technology and ensures that warfighters will have critical positioning, navigation, and timing information when it’s needed most.”

Rockwell Collins has delivered more than 100,000 anti-jam systems across weapons, aircraft, and soldier systems over the last 10 years. With a wealth of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) simulations and live sky tests, DIGAR assures a high Technology Readiness Level (TRL) product with a flexible, programmable implementation that provides a low risk approach to mitigating the evolving jamming landscape.

Rockwell Collins (NYSE:COL) provides aviation and high-integrity solutions for commercial and military customers around the world, helping pilots safely and reliably navigate to the far corners of the earth; keeping warfighters aware and informed in battle; delivering millions of messages for airlines and airports; and helping passengers stay connected and comfortable throughout their journey. The company’s portfolio includes flight deck avionics, cabin electronics, cabin interiors, information management, mission communications, and simulation and training.
