Crystal Group brings latest small-SWaP, high-performance rugged server to Sea Air Space 2018
HIAWATHA, Iowa. Crystal Group Inc., a designer/manufacturer of rugged computer and electronic hardware, is bringing its all-new RS1.533S18G Rugged Server and other advanced technologies for aerospace and defense applications, to the Navy League’s Sea Air Space Expo in National Harbor, Maryland.
Crystal Group’s RS1.533S18G rugged 1.5U server is designed for applications where compute density, thermal management, and shock/vibe endurance in a small form factor are crucial, says Jim Shaw, Crystal Group executive vice president of engineering. “Mission-critical naval operations demand highly reliable performance of rugged computer hardware, often in harsh environments.”
More than 500 military and government programs – including high-profile U.S. Navy programs such as the P-8A Poseidon, MQ-8 Fire Scout, and RQ-21A Blackjack – use Crystal Group rugged computer hardware for industry-leading performance and resistance to threatening conditions, Shaw adds.
