MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- Autopilot and stability augmentation technology manufacturer Genesys Aerosystems has received supplemental type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration for its S-TEC 3100 on the Cessna 177.
Genesys' S-TEC 3100 is a digital autopilot with features including automatic trim, envelope protection and alerting, straight and level recovery, indicated airspeed hold and altitude preselect, available in 2- and 3-axis trim configurations. The system is already certified for the Cessna 182 and 210, and Beechcraft Bonanza A35/36 models.
"The initial feedback from owners installing the S-TEC 3100 has been very positive," said Jamie Luster, Genesys Director of Sales and Marketing. "Everything in our installation kit is included. Dealers just provide the labor and wires."
The company said upgrades from existing S-TEC systems start at $9,995, while full systems begin at $19,995 for 2-axis models.
Genesys is also working on STCs for additional Cessna and Piper models.
