HYDERABAD, India -- Indian technology group Cyient will unveil its newest transmit and receive module (TRM) during the upcoming Farnborough International Airshow.

The new TRM is described by the Cyient as a "low-cost, X-band, single-channel TRM based on hybrid printed circuit board technology" designed for use in airborne fighter radar, air defense, and ground and surveillance. The company said it can also be easily adapted for multiple configuration use, such as tile architecture or quad-TRM applications.

"The Cyient transmit and receive module offers a significant value proposition for the global radar market," said Kaushal Jadia, vice president for Cyient's avionics division. "Cost is often a limiting factor when adopting new sophisticated radar platforms. The Cyient TRM offers a commercial-off-the-shelf design that eases production processes, increases performance and lowers costs by more than 30 percent."

The TRM will be showcased at Cyient's chalet (A21) on Monday, July 16, at 1 p.m.

The Farnborough International Airshow takes place July 16-22. For updates throughout the event, visit Intelligent-Aerospace.com.
