Cannon unveils RPR EN-4165-style receptacle at Farnborough

FARNBOROUGH, England -- ITT Inc.'s Cannon brand has introduced its modular RPR EN4165-Style receptacle with PCB contacts for high-speed data transfer capabilities, intended for use in commercial aerospace applications.

FARNBOROUGH, England -- ITT Inc.'s Cannon brand has introduced its modular RPR EN4165-Style receptacle with PCB contacts for high-speed data transfer capabilities, intended for use in commercial aerospace applications.

Unveiled during the Farnborough International Airshow, the rack-and-panel-rectangular is an ARINC 809-compatible that offers "cost efficiency and performance in a compact but robust design package," Cannon said, designed to help meet growing demands for passenger in-flight connectivity.

The company said key features include:

  • Signal integrity and secure connectivity;
  • Front release, rear removable insert and proprietary latching mechanism designed for easier service, repair and maintenance;
  • Precision PCB tail alignment and a cost-competitive design;
  • Compact and lightweight design; and
  • Compatibility with EN4165 plugs from other suppliers.

"RPR continues Cannon's legacy of innovation and leadership, building on several firsts that we contributed to the aviation market including D-subminiature and microminiature connectors, RPR interconnects and fiber optic assemblies, to name a few," said Anh Phan, vice president of Cannon sales and marketing. Cannon's booth at Farnborough is located in Hall 4, No. 4455. The company is also showcasing its recently introducd BKA ARINC 600 rack and panel with stamped PCB contacts.
