Qatar Airways selects CAE to provide seven Boeing flight simulators

FARNBOROUGH, England -- Training technologies group CAE has signed a deal to provide five full-flight simulators and two flight training devices for Qatar Airways' teaching center in Doha, Qatar.

FARNBOROUGH, England -- Training technologies group CAE has signed a deal to provide five full-flight simulators and two flight training devices for Qatar Airways' teaching center in Doha, Qatar.

The deal, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, will see CAE provide three Boeing 777X and two 737MAX full-flight simulators, alongside a 777X and 737MAC flight training device.

Delivery will begin at Qatar Airways' training center in 2019.

"The future of aviation and demand for pilot training in the Middle East is on the rise," said Nick Leontidis, CAE Group President, Civil Aviation Solutions. "This new training equipment agreement is a testament to our commitment to provide Qatar Airways with the most comprehensive training solutions for many years to come."

Qatar Airways already operates or has on order full-flight simulators for both 777 and 787 aircraft, alongside Airbus A320, A330, A350 and A380 models. The company also announced it had extended its training center operations services contract with CAE for another 15 years.
