SINGAPORE -- Singapore-based airline Scoot has renewed a long-term deal with network services provider SITA as it continues expanding its footprint outside of Asia.
Per the contract, Scoot will continue using SITA's AirportHub, which allows Scoot to bypass local telecommunications providers by connecting all its applications and information technology systems at a given airport.
Scoot said SITA's quick installations are particularly attractive as it expands in Asia, Europe, Africa and the United States, with infrastructure typically in-place within three weeks.
"Scoot currently has an extensive network of 66 destinations across 18 countries and territories, and plans our aggressive growth are in place," said Jason Chin, vice president of IT at Scoot. "With SITA's global footprint, speed and flexibility, we can focus on expansion and adding new routes to our network."
SITA's AirportHub system is currently in operation at more than 440 airports around the world, all of which are connected to its reservation system, departure control services and disaster recovery site.
