MONTREAL, Quebec - Bombardier announced last week that its Global 7500 business jet recently added another record to its collection as the Canada-based manufacturer flew from coast-to-coast in just under four hours.

The Global 7500 business jet left Van Nuys Airport at 7:01 AM local time on March 24, 2019, and arrived at Teterboro Airport at 1:55 PM local time, completing the coast-to-coast mission in 3 hours and 54 minutes. The run shaved approximately 90 minutes off of the previous record, which was held by General Dynamic Corp's Gulfstream G650.

During the flight, the aircraft reached a top speed of M 0.925 and sustained that speed for more than two hours. Earlier this month, Bombardier broke another industry record when it completed a journey of over 8,100 nautical miles on a direct flight from Singapore to Tucson, Ariz.
