ATLANTA, Ga., - A US start-up has revealed plans to develop a plane that will travel at five times the speed of sound, transporting passengers between New York and London in 90 minutes or less. May 21, 2019-Hermeus joins a growing field - including Boeing and Lockheed Martin - in developing hypersonic aircraft. The Hermeus board is made up of industry insiders, including the former GM of Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Rob Weiss and the former associate administrator of the FAA Dr. George Nield among other notables.

“I think we have a first-class team - Hermeus and advisors,” said Weiss. “It seems to me if there’s a team that can achieve this big goal, it’s Hermeus.”
