Rugged rackmount computer for big data analytics introduced by WIN Enterprises

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-82040 1U rackmount high-performance computer for big data analytics, production rendering, and standard data center applications.

The rugged system is for intense applications like measuring integers, floating-point calculations, virtualization, and large databases.

The PL-82040 has the AMD 7-nanometer Rome EPYC 7002 series processor with DDR4 memory and redundant power supply. The computer processor has 64 cores, 4 terabytes of memory, 3200 MHz maximum memory frequency, and 128 PCI Express 4.0 I/O lanes.

The AMD 7002 EPYC is a 7-nanometer processor that has a hybrid multi-die architecture that allocates eight dies as processor cores and one as an I/O die to support security and communications outside the processor.

The Rome processor is a second-generation AMD EPYC that provides the same performance at half the power consumption as previous generations.
