March 12, 2020 -During his speech to the American people last night, President Trump said that cargo shipments from the European continent would be barred alongside passengers, but that was walked back and would affect "people carrying cargo." The Department of Homeland Security also clarified later that American citizens or permanent legal residents were not barred from reentry.
Carriers are seeing a drop off in passenger travel, so the FAA has granted them a waiver to operate a minimum number of flights to maintain airport gate access.
