EVERETT, Wash., - magniX has officially unveiled the magni350 and magni650 Electric Propulsion Units (EPUs), the latest advancements in the company's proven, market-leading EPU products. Based on thousands of hours of flight and ground testing, these EPUs have been optimized for real-life commercial flight situations to further accelerate the certification process for electric aircraft and bring the future of aviation closer electric of reality.

Over the past few years, magniX has powered commercial electric aircraft such as the eBeaver and eCaravan. Building on key lessons learned from these continuous flights and rigorous ground testing, magniX has introduced a series of enhanced features to enable even more simplified, reliable and convenient adoption of electrical power.

The 450 SHP / 350 kW / 1,600 NM magni350 EPU and the 850 SHP / 650 kW / 3,200 NM magni650 EPU share flight proven solutions and a common core architecture. They use the new high performance magniDrive-100, a 170 kW inverter / motor controller electronic power unit.

Operating at a maximum of 2,300 rpm, the direct-drive EPUs are liquid-cooled and designed for altitudes of over 9,000 meters in non-pressurized environments. Both systems can drive a propeller governor and standard aircraft accessories, all from the forward cone of each engine.

Offering a combination of industry-leading power, efficiency and reliability, the magni350 and magni650 EPUs are ready to deliver world-class environmental performance at significantly reduced operating costs.
