23 November 2022 - The electric takeoff and landing (eVTOL) market has been a growing one as new and old players in the aviation segment look to bring these tech-forward aircraft to cities around the world.

"This powered-lift definitions rule lays the foundation that will allow operators to use powered-lift aircraft," the FAA said in a statement to Reuters.

The FAA said the agency intends to issue an implementation plan in May 2023.
