HOUSTON - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will host a public Industry Day and private one-on-one meetings with commercial space companies beginning 5 May 2025, as part of its Commercial Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) program. The events, hosted in Houston, aim to gather industry feedback and provide information on the agency’s anticipated Phase 2 contract for commercially operated space stations.

The events, which will be held in a hybrid format, are open to U.S. and international companies interested in supporting NASA astronauts, international partners, and other spaceflight participants aboard privately owned LEO destinations.

The Industry Day presentation will run May 5-6 and will include updates to NASA’s technical and procurement requirements. One-on-one meetings with potential prime contractors are scheduled for May 6–7 and are intended for open discussions on Phase 2 strategy and input received from earlier Requests for Information.

"For planning purposes, technical documents and a preliminary schedule will be made available on the CLDC Acquisition Website," NASA stated, encouraging continued monitoring of www.sam.gov for updates. Additional resources will be posted on NASA’s upcoming CLDC Technical Library site.

Registration

One-on-one sessions will last 50 minutes each and may include prime offerors and their teammates or subcontractors. However, NASA emphasized that proprietary data, contractor performance, or endorsements of technical strategies will not be discussed.

"These sessions are intended to provide clarification and foster meaningful dialogue," NASA noted. Questions and answers from the meetings will be shared publicly on www.sam.gov without attribution.

Companies must register by 1 p.m. Eastern on 30 April 2025, through NASA’s official registration site. In-person Industry Day attendance is capped at seven representatives per company, while up to ten virtual participants are allowed. One-on-one meeting participation is similarly limited to ten representatives total. More details, including registration instructions and a list of discussion topics, are available at https://www.nasa.gov/cldc-industry-day-registration.
