USB Type-C cable assemblies for high-speed data transfer in IoT applications introduced by Stewart Connector

GLEN ROCK, Pa. – The Bel Fuse Inc. Stewart Connector segment in Glen Rock, Pa., is introducing USB Type-C cable assemblies for high-speed data-transfer in internet-of-things (IoT) and point-of-sale applications.

Stewart’s USB cable assemblies are designed to support data speeds as fast as 480 megabits per second for USB 2.0; 5 gigabits per second for USB 3.0; and 10 gigabits per second for USB 3.1.

These USB cable assemblies include a shielded cable design that allows for high-speed data transfer, and include an over-molded strain relief features to protect the cable and reduce strain on the conductors.

The cable assemblies use USB Type-C male plugs on one end and an option of USB Type-A or USB Micro-B on the other, and also are suitable for laptop computers, gaming systems, and cell phones.
