WIXOM, Mich. – Acromag in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the VWB2000 signal wire replacement system to interface signals from between two points where it is not practical to run long wires or conduit.

The VWB2000 point-to-point wireless signal bridge comes in a rugged NEMA 4X/IP68 industrial housing, and takes analog, discrete, or Modbus signals at one location and reproduces them at a second location.

The system consists of two pre-paired transmitter-and-receiver units that have a range of one mile outside or 500 feet indoors in industrial environments. This range can be extended using wireless repeater units or high-gain directional antennas. An LCD display provides signal strength and other diagnostic information.

A VWB2000 wireless I/O bridge is easy to set up and install. Each unit has one analog I/O channel, four discrete I/O, and Modbus communications that are field-configurable using push-button controls.

Free Windows software simplifies configuration on a PC via USB and enables advanced features such as encryption and analog signal calibration.

The weather-tight enclosure is cast aluminum with a glass window and a corrosion-resistant powder coating for field mounting. Units can mount to a supporting conduit or to pipes and walls.

Each point-to-point wireless signal bridge unit has inputs and outputs for bi-to-directional communication. Analog inputs accept 4-to-20-milliamp, 0-to-5-volt, 0-to-10-volt, or 1-to-5-volt signals. Analog output is 4-to-20 milliamps.

Digital I/O channels support 0-to-5-volt TTL logic levels. Modbus RTU serial communication is EIA-to-485 compatible. For more information contact Acromag online at https://acromag.com.
