Ultra-small anti-jam GPS receivers with M-code security that resist spoofing introduced by BAE Systems

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – BAE Systems Inc. is introducing the ultra-small MicroGRAMTM-M global positioning system (GPS) receiver for use with next-generation M-code military GPS signals that are resistant to jamming and spoofing.

The BAE Systems military GPS business unit in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is offering the MicroGRAM-M, which is about the size of a postage stamp, for assured positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) for size-constrained and other micro-applications.

BAE Systems acquired the Collins Aerospace military Global Positioning System business in 2020, and plans to produce about 20,000 MicroGRAM-M military GPS receivers per year in Cedar Rapids.

MicroGRAM-M features rapid secure GPS signal acquisition, enhanced security and resiliency, anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities, and low power consumption for a GPS receiver with M-code security.

The unit measures 1 by 1.25 by 0.275 inches and has the same physical dimensions as its predecessor to enable quick upgradability to M-Code and reduced system integration costs.
