Raytheon to support satellite network

Raytheon Electronic Systems in Bedford, Mass., will provide logistics support for the Multiplex Integration and Defense Communications Satellite System (DSCS) Automation Systems for the global network of 88 DSCS nodes. This system provides user data interfaces, multiplexing, and cryptographic functions for worldwide defense communications and improves system efficiency, and lowers operating and maintenance costs through automation. This system provides user data interfaces, multiplexing, and cryptographic functions for worldwide defense communications and improves system efficiency, and lowers operating and maintenance costs through automation. Raytheon will do the work under a $44 million contract from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth, N.J. - J.K.
