NEW YORK CITY, 10 August 2006. L-3 Communications has announced that the Intelligence Solutions division of its Titan Group (L-3 Titan Group) has been awarded a contract modification valued in excess of $26 million to the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) contract.

The modification incorporates an engineering change proposal that enables rapid delivery of enhanced capabilities to end users and extends the overall contract's period of performance by 30 months, now continuing through November 30, 2011.

The original $53.6 million IBS contract was awarded by the IBS Program Office headquartered at the Electronic Systems Center (ESC), Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., on May 7, 2001. The combination of two earlier contract modifications and this new modification make the overall contract worth more than $128 million.

The IBS is a transformational program that provides warfighters with critical information management capabilities at multiple security levels. These operational capabilities ease the information burden, maximize existing bandwidth, and bolster the warfighters' ability to execute missions. The IBS develops services across a global environment to support all military services and the intelligence community.
