General Dynamics to continue network management, mission operations support for U.S. Air Force

FAIRFAX, Va., 16 Jan. 2010. The U.S. Air Force awarded General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems a five-year, $60 million contract to provide network management and mission operations support to the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing's Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and two network operations centers in Virginia and California.

The U.S. Air Force awarded General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems a five-year, $60 million contract to provide network management and mission operations support to the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)Wing's Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and two network operations centers in Virginia and California.

Under this contract, General Dynamics will continue to provide systems, network and communications engineering; technical project management; systems integration and administration; configuration management; and network security management. General Dynamics will also provide network management, mission and performance management, and data traffic routing support for the DCGS network, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. General Dynamics has supported the 480th Intelligence Group since 1994.
