SAN ANTONIO, 25 May 2007.MDI Inc., provider of Unified Technology solutions for the security industry, has received purchase orders for its products as part of a unified security system implementation project at two Marine Corps bases in the U.S.
The projects are being implemented and maintained by a Certified MDI Unified Solutions Partner, which is ranked as one of the five largest defense contractors in the world.
The MDI unified security platform is protecting more than 20 Marine Corps bases located across the globe. MDI delivers a centralized security command and control environment to its clients, which empowers them to manage and enforce security processes across an entire base in real time.
The first of these two Bases to utilize the MDI system is located on more than 150,000 acres of land. The Base has been the recipient of multiple "Commander-in-Chief" Awards for institutional excellence, which recognized the base on a Department of Defense-level for effectively managing assets and developing quality programs to accomplish the mission of providing expeditionary forces in readiness.
As an anomaly, intrusion, or occurrence takes place, the automated platform commands a series of pre-configured security events to occur. This allows security managers to command and control building, access, and video surveillance functions across multiple remote facilities, aimed at containing or minimizing the threat.
The second Bbse maintains critical operations, training, services, and support facilities that are essential for the readiness and global projection of ground combat forces and aviation units. The base-wide unification delivered to this client will empower security personnel to receive the actionable intelligence necessary to make decisions in real-time, based on the exact levels of security needed, for specific geographic operating locations and perimeters across the base.
