ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Amphenol Industrial Operations in Endicott, N.Y., is introducing the GuardXcel series of cable glands, vents, and accessories for system enclosures, connections, and cables for applications ranging from machine building, railways, renewable energy, automotive, process instrumentation, and transformers.
Products include glands, adapters, drain, dome plugs, multi-hole seals, washers, gaskets, and vents. Designed for rugged environments, the series also offers different IP ratings, from light immersion to high pressure environments, to prevent the ingress of water and dust.
The UL-certified series offers EMC compatibility, UV resistance, and UL94 V2 and V0 flammability ratings.
Rugged environments
The cable glands come in several sizes, and can withstand temperatures from -20 to 100 degrees Celsius. Available materials include nickel-plated brass, stainless steel, plastic with neoprene, silicone, and NBR sealings.
GuardXcel ventilation plugs balance pressure differences between inner housing and outside. The vents prevent water condensation in tightly sealed housings with hydrophobic and oleophobic membranes.
