G&D, VuWall introduce KVM-over-IP platform for control rooms
SIEGEN, Germany - Guntermann & Drunck (G&D) and VuWall, both Panoptec companies, introduced the vsNEO KVM-over-IP platform for control rooms and broadcast facilities that require simplified deployment and centralized workstation control.
The platform supports installations with up to 96 endpoints and uses a dedicated KVM network independent of the corporate LAN. The vsNEO-center controller provides network management functions, including Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), while AES-256 encryption protects KVM traffic.
The vsNEO-link transceiver can operate as a transmitter, receiver, video wall node, or multi-picture-in-picture KVM mosaic station. Each unit is 105 millimeters wide, allowing three devices to fit in a single rack unit. The common hardware design reduces the number of device types integrators must configure and maintain.
Operators can use an on-screen display with live source thumbnails and select from control interfaces including G&D CommandDeck and CommandKeyboard, VuWall ControlVu touch controls, and CommandKeyboard-Advanced. An online configurator generates a bill of materials and system topology diagram in PDF format based on selected endpoints and components.
