3U VPX embedded computing chassis for commercial deployment introduced by VadaTech

The VTX880 is a 2U VPX chassis with six 3U VPX slots, while the VTX881 is a 2U VPX chassis with three 6U VPX slots.

HENDERSON, Nev. – VadaTech Inc. in Henderson, Nev., is introducing the VTX880 and VTX881 embedded computing chassis for commercial deployment.

The VTX880 is a 2U VPX chassis with six 3U VPX slots, while the VTX881 is a 2U VPX chassis with three 6U VPX slots. Both chassis can accept 0.8-inch, 0.85-inch, and 1.0-inch pitch modules.

Each chassis has a universal AC input power supply to provide 800 Watts or a single -48-volt DC 650-Watt PSU and supplies 95-Watt/slot. The VTX880 and VTX881 are designed to meet the ANSI/VITA 65 standard.

They provide right-to-left push/pull cooling at 18 cubic feet per minute per payload slot to the VPX payload and RTM slots. The chassis have a removable air filter at the front.

The VTX880 backplane provides five 3U VPX payload slots in a star configuration, and complies to VITA 46.0 baseline specification, plus additional support to the RTMs, compliant to VITA 46.10 and OpenVPX VITA 65.
