HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Abaco Systems in Huntsville, Ala., is introducing a new version of the company's OpenWare version 6.4 network-management software for aerospace and defense applications.

The updates provide features to enable flexible SFP pluggable transceiver configuration support for the GBX25 6U VME managed Ethernet switch.

It also offers NAND-less booting capabilities for the GBX25, SWE440A, and SWE540A Ethernet switches to enable security and fast startup times. OpenWare 6.4 delivers improved flexibility and security across NETernity layer 2/3 Ethernet switches.

Abaco delivers an approach that provides as much control over configuration of the GBX25 as possible, providing for easy swaps between base bands or quantities.

OpenWare V6.4 helps make it easy to move between 3U, 6U, and other COTS Ethernet switch form factors without relearning how the switch works. The software makes it quick and easy to deploy an OpenWare switch.
