WESTFORD, Mass. – Zuken USA Inc. in Westford, Mass., is introducing the 2021 release of E3.series electrical design software to help make electrical and fluid engineering intuitive, fast, and easy.

This suite of design and development tools offers extended functionality in connector handling, 3D control cabinet design, component database, and API extensions to help create user-defined add-on programs and interfaces.

The 2021 release introduces online checks for manually plugging connectors and automatic selection of mating connectors from the database.

If users assign or modify a connector manually, error checking looks up eligible mating connectors in the database and issues a warning if the user chooses an incompatible connector.

The E3-series offers a schematics application that addresses handling of connectors with inserts, which combine several different connectors into a complex component. Users can define these complex connectors in the E3.series database or dynamically with more control when configuring the connector with inserts in the E3.series project.

The software offers an E3.panel 2D/3D cabinet design module to help users create cabinet and panel models by creating 2D and 3D graphical representations automatically from an imported STEP file.

A new highlight panel path command enables quick display of the routing path of a wire throughout the cabinet. The software automatically displays the highlighted path on all sheets and 3D views where the wire is represented.
