Operating system upgrade to Android 11 for rugged tablet computers for harsh environments offered by WEROCK

The Android 11 operating system software offers improved messenger and video telephony; more data protection; and improved security features.

PFORZHEIM, Germany – WEROCK Technologies GmbH in Pforzheim, Germany, is introducing an Android 11 operating system update for the company's Rocktab S108 and Rocktab S110 rugged tablet computers for use in harsh environments.

The Android 11 operating system software offers improved messenger and video telephony; more data protection; improved security features such as Scope Storage, which allows apps to run in a kind of sandbox; and improved update management.

Rocktab S108 and Rocktab S110 are compact, rugged tablets with 8- or 10-inch display sizes for adverse work environments. The devices have bright displays for outdoor work, gesture-enabled touch screens, and feature LTE connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, and WLAN.

The rugged tablet computers offer battery for the complete working day, meet IP67 standards for water and dust resistance, and processor options from Intel and MediaTek.

In addition to the Android 11 upgrade, the devices come optionally with Windows 10 Professional with Google services, Google GMS certification with access to all Google apps, integrated GPS positioning; dual-band WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE high-speed Internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0; and docking stations and other accessories available.
