These offerings include the Synergy VSS4 quad-CPU board with 400 MHz G4 microprocessor. Synergy designers tuned this board to deliver as much power as 16 billion floating point operations per second to digital signal processors and array processing applications. In addition to strong core processor performance, the G4 incorporates a 128-bit vector-processing unit using the Motorola AltiVec processor technology, as well as much as 2 megabytes of fast backside L2 cache memory.
