Auditors from the Defense Electronic Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) in Columbus, Ohio, have added the Temic Semiconductors MHS site in Nantes, France, to the Qualified Manufacturing List (QML) class Q for military ruggedness and class V for space ruggedness. DSCC auditors also qualified the Temic laboratories for mechanical testing of products. This is the first time a complete facility including wafer fabrication has been QML qualified outside the United States, say Temic officials. Temic products covered under QML include memories, microcontrollers, and application-specific integrated circuits in geometries as small as 0.5 microns.
