Executives of Blue Wave Systems in Carrollton, Texas, are planning for a broad range of board-level products based on the fixed-point TMS320C6201 and floating-point TMS320C6701 versions of the Texas Instruments C6000 digital signal processor. Blue Wave officials are planning for 14 different products to address applications in military, aerospace, electronic and signals intelligence, test and measurement, wired and wireless telecommunications, and image-processing. The single-board DSPs will be in VME, CompactPCI, and PCI form factors, in a variety of ruggedization levels. Specific products will include high-speed I/O interfaces from digital receiver subsystems, interprocessor communications for large multi-processing systems, and array processors for radar and sonar systems. Blue Wave resulted from the merger of Mizar Inc. and Loughborough Sound Images Ltd.
