BittWare Inc. in Concord, N.H., is offering the SharcFIN 201 (SFIN-201) PCI-DSP bridge chip for the Analog Devices TigerSHARC and SHARC processors. The single-chip SFIN-201 interfaces the ADSP-TS201S with 64-bit, 66 MHz PCI with board-level utilities and support software that allow designers to integrate TigerSHARC processors onto a PCI board. The SharcFIN also interfaces the ADSP-TS201S to interfaces such as I2C serial ports, flash memory, and a general-purpose expansion bus, and provides DMA functions and interrupt options to support high-speed, real-time data flow with a minimum of processor overhead. The device comes with a developer’s kit that includes one BittWare Tiger-PCI board (T2PC); DSP21k Toolkit source code porting kit; royalty-free license for using BittWare DSP21k source code; Analog Devices VisualDSP++ for TigerSHARC; two days of engineering support to aid customers in their board design; one-day customer schematic review; and 25 SFIN-201 chips.
