COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., 11 Nov. 2005. RT Logic today announced a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract for a Programmable Satellite Transceiver (PST) with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) located at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

To boost interoperability between military and civil ground systems, Air Force leaders are developing wide-bandwidth, programmable satellite transceivers that operate in different RF frequency bands and with multiple signal waveforms.

RT Logic is working with SEAKR Engineering Inc. to produce an engineering model for a space flight transceiver that can be programmed in flight to accommodate changing waveforms and the missions that require them.

RT Logic's small footprint, S-Band/L-Band I/Q (SLIQ) Modulator/ Demodulator provides an innovative technology platform for fielding the dual-band, programmable satellite transceiver.

"RT Logic wields extensive software-defined signal processing capability, and SEAKR augments that with programmable, space-qualified hardware," says Marty Polluconi, RT Logic's business area manager.

The AFRL effort is a follow on to the Phase I project completed by RT Logic earlier this year.

SEAKR Engineering, Inc. is a small aerospace business providing state of the art, space based, solid state recorders, realtime on-board processors, flexible and small C&DH avionics, and high performance single board computers. The company has flown 57 missions with 100 percent success record. SEAKR has 170 employees working in the Colorado facilities.

RT Logic is a leading provider of products for ground-based space applications, primarily for satellite and launch range operations. Known for exceptional innovation, performance and support, RT Logic has delivered over 1200 systems since its inception in 1997. RT Logic offers a complete line of Telemetrix products used in systems for widely varied control center, ground antenna, and range applications. Since October 2002, RT Logic has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems Inc. For more information, see www.rtlogic.com.

Founded in 1982, Integral Systems is a leading provider of satellite ground systems and has supported over 190 different satellite missions for communications, science, meteorological and earth resource applications. The company was the first to offer an integrated suite of COTS (commercial off the shelf) software products for satellite command & control, the EPOCH IPS product line. EPOCH has become a world market leader in commercial applications with successful installations on 5 continents. For more information, see www.integ.com.

The company's subsidiary, SAT Corp., provides satellite and terrestrial communications signal monitoring systems to satellite operators and users throughout the world. Through its Newpoint Technologies, Inc. subsidiary, the company also provides software for equipment monitoring and control to satellite operators and telecommunications firms. The company's Lumistar Inc. subsidiary is a provider of system level and board level telemetry acquisition products. Integral Systems has approximately 410 employees working at company headquarters in Lanham, Md., and at other locations in both the U.S. and Europe.
