Rugged network switches for deployment in harsh military environments introduced by Crystal
HIAWATHA, Iowa, 6 Oct. 2016. Crystal Group Inc. in Hiawatha, Iowa, is introducing the RCS7450 and RCS7750 rugged network switches for deployment in harsh military environments.
The RCS7450 and RCS7750 rugged switches provide robust networks with long term field operation. Ruggedized for deployment in a variety of extreme surroundings the switches deliver operational efficiency, high performance, and design flexibility for traditional, virtualized, and cloud environments.
Built on the Brocade ICX 7450 and ICX 7750 network switches, Crystal Group's RCS7450 and RCS7750 rugged switches are enterprise class, stackable LAN solutions for small and medium size applications.
The RCS7450 is available with 24 or 48 copper ports or with 48 port fiber SFP connectors. The unit can deliver 960 gigabits per second in stacking bandwidth, 336 gigabits per second in full duplex switching capacity and 250 megabits per second forwarding capacity.
Units are available in a 1U form factor and weigh between 16 and 22 pounds. Mounting for the units complies with the EIA-310 19-inch rack standard using Delrin glides or a fixed mount.
Crystal rugged switches operate in temperatures from -40 to degrees Celsius, support IPv6 routing, are compatible with industry command line technology that enables designers to integrate several units into one unit addressable with one IP address.
